The first Chinese indoor since breakout of coronavirus was hosted in an empty stadium in Beijing state University. Gong Lijiao the two time Shot Put World Champion did not disappoint. The Hebei, born 31 years 5ft 9 Chinese star athlete, threw a massive 19.70m; her third longest indoor throw ever and the longest throw seen this year.
The meet was organised primarily as a competitive opportunity for athletes that train at the university, no spectators were allowed into the venue. The Chinese Athletics Association has confirmed that other athletics meetings have been scheduled for April.
