The twice 800m Olympics Champion, Caster Semenya has promised to surprise everyone at the Olympics in an event other than 800m. In an interview she granted Network24, the 29 years old Polokwane born South Africa athlete revealed that she has something up her sleeve.
“I’m going to surprise you….. and you’re going to like the surprise”, Semenya said when asked what her plans for Tokyo were. She admitted that she can only do little concerning IAAF ruling, but she would not allow that to hamstring her great ambition to be in her third Olympics..
“My biggest goal remain to be at the Olympics and I have been working hard to achieve that”, she said.
Semenya had been at the center of a controversial ruling by IAAF that place restrictions on certain level of natural testosterone of female athlete competing in 800m and 1500m.
