After a recent damning audit report of CAF which was commissioned by FIFA as part of ongoing scrutiny; their Moroccan former dentist Secretary General Mouad Hajji has thrown in the towel yesterday after just eleven months in the saddle. He cited ‘personal reason”.
President of CAF Ahmad Ahmed has accepted his resignation and also agreed to allow Hajji to serve out a short notice period than his contact stipulated. Ahmad will now convene an emergency committee meeting in other to appoint an Acting Secretary General.
It will be recalled that Mouad Hajji took over last year April when an Egyptian Amr Fahmy ( died last month of protracted cancer) was dismissed.
