Is Perri Shakes-Drayton Retired?

A 31 years old 5ft 8 Victoria Park Harriers athletes and a former 400m 2013 European champion-Perri Shakes-Drayton has retired. “There comes a point where you’ve get to decide to call it a day”, she said.

“I have had a tough battle with injuries but I managed to come back in 2017 and get a silver in relay at the World Championship. That was nice but now I am ready to move on”, she added.

A 66kg British quarter Miller won a lot of laurels; at the World Championship, she won two silver 4×400m relay both in 2011 and 2017. Another gold in Word Indoor 4×400m relay in Istanbul 2012. At the European Championship, she had silver in relay and bronze in 400h in 2010. But in the European Indoor, she won gold in 400m and 4×400m relay both 2013.
