Zango Breaks Africa Record Again And Van Niekerk Qualified For Olympics

At the Madrid grand prix some minutes ago, the Africa champion Fabrice Hugues Zango was really on top of his game. The world triple jump leader this season, Zango extended his Africa record on his fourth jump to recorded a massive 17.83m to set a meet record as well. Pedro Pablo Pichardo was second with 17.69m jump.

The world record holder, Wayde Van Niekerk hit his best by qualified for Olympics with quick 44.56s to place second behind Anthony Jese Zambrano who returned 44.51s.

In 100m, South Africa Gift Leotlela carried the day in 10.15s while Nambian Christina Mboma won the 200m in 22.79s.
