Oceanic Champion, Ramsden Slices Australia Record

The Western Australia capital city, Perth with it’s athletics world was brought to a glimpse of elation by the athletic fireworks on Friday (22).

It was the 23 years old Deakin University, Commerce/Law undergraduate, Matthew Ramsden that caused the elation. In the 1500m, Ramsden kicked the home straight to break his training partner, 3:35.10s Stewart McSweyn Australia Indoor record.

The Oceanic Champion, won in 3:34.97s, Luke Graves was second in 3:47.64s and followed by Luke Shaw in 3:49.94s.

In long jump, Dylan James managed 7.56m while Cruz Hogan threw 68.36m in Javelin.

For women results, 200m (1.1) Taylah Cruttenden 24.27s, 100mh (1.3) Briana Beahan 13.26, Pole Vault-Raphaela Corney 4.07 and in long jump Caitlin Blackman 6.03m
