Over the weekend at Ibadan ( South West, Nigeria) a Cameroonian playing for Abia Warriors Charles Tampe was attacked by two assailants while on work out prescribed by his club as a part of sit-at-home program because of lockdown imposed as a result of corovirus.
The Abia Warriors goalkeeper lost his wrist watch and cell phone after he was shot on the shoulder by the assailant using local gun. He was rushed to University College Hospital, Ibadan where he was discharged on Sunday.
“I am very grateful to God that I am alive today,” Tampe said immediately after he was discharged.
“With what happened it is just by the grace of the Almighty God. I’m also grateful to all Nigerians for their concern. I am really grateful to everyone.”
