In the long jump women, Ghanaian Deborah ACQUAH broke some sweat to beat Nigeria Mercy Abire to third with impressive 6.45m jump to 6.39m Abire. But in the 60m female Immanuela Aliu running for Texas University was not lucky as her 7.58s was not good enough for final. Issac Odugbesan was fourth in the short put with a throw of 19.54m.
Then in the big 12 Indoor Championship, the Nigerian lady of the moment and the most improved Nigerian athletes in the recent times Ruth Usoro, was all over the moon as she won her big 12 Championship.
