The European U-20 Athletics Grosseto 2017 was brought to a close on Sunday 23rd of July; with Germany searching desperately for golds to upstage their arch rival Great Britain to win the competition. But it finally came their way in the 4×100 relays both in female and male. In the male 4×100; Germany team proof too strong to win 35.48s to Italy-39.50s and Spain-39.59s; the Britain came fourth. Then in the female 4×100, Germany again won in 43.44s to France-44.03s and Great Britain-44.17s. With that 2 gold medals, Germany was able to upstage Britain to top the medal with 5 gold, 7 silver, 1 bronze and total of 13 medals over- all. Britain finished second with 5 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze and 19 medals. The ukraine was third with 4 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze and 6 medals over- all.
In the male 4x400m Italy beat France to win in 3.08.68s. But in the female 4x400m Ukraine won in 3.32.82s to Germany -3.33.08 and Great Britain-3.33.68s.
