The US Track And Field which is known as a leader and a strong supporter of growth of track and field internationally, particularly amoung young people has succesfully led other 7 countries in a surprise revolt against IAAF.
The US led seven other countries to withdraw from the ongoing IAAF U-18 in Nairobi, Kenya; due to organizational, logistical, health and safety reasons. The countries are Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Korea and Italy. This has caused a lot of disquietness in the IAAF, because this action has completely taking sparks and shines of this tenth edition. The IAAF had wanted this last edition to be a memorable one with a lot of sparks. Although the IAAF had announced last August to discontinue with the competition has they believed is no longer the best pathway for young athletes.
But the athletics enthusiatics in the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi who throng the stadium daily were the most cheated to watch the best of sprinting finest from the athletics giant from US , Britain and Canada.
