Adam Gemili Was Ignored As London Name Team

The former World Junior Champion and fourth place in 200m Rio Olympics, Adam Gemili was ignored as Great Britain name their team to the London August World Championship. The lucky beneficial of the selection are former long jump champion Gred Rutherford who is still recuperating from an injury and Dina Asher-Smith. Gred was considered for long jump despite not yet fully fit while Dina Asher-Smith{ who was just returning to action last month after broken one of the bone in her foot} took fourth in 200m at the trial but was selected ahead of others for 200m and 4x100m relay. But Adam Gemili was managed to be added to the 4x100m relay team.

  • 200m-Natheel Mitchell-Blake, Danny Talbot and Zharnel Hughes
  • 400m-Muthudson-Smith, Dwayne Cowen and Martyn Rooney
  • 400m hurdles-Jack Green
  • Long Jump-Gred Rutherford
  • 4x100m-CJ Ujah, Nathaneel Blake, Danny Talbot, Zharnel Hughes, Adam Gemili, Harry Aikines, Richard Kilty and Reece Prescord
  • Female;100m-Asha Philip, Daryll Neita and Desiree Henry
  • 200m-Shannon Hylton, Bianca Williams and Dina Asher-Smith.
  • 400m Zoey Clark, EmilyDiamond and Anyika Onuora
  • Long Jump-Lorraine Ugen
