The darkest wilderness the Russian Atheletes found themself since February this year when IAAF banned the Russian Athletics Federation due to anti-doping violation seems to be clearing gradually with the latest cheering news coming from the IAAF.
The IAAF Doping Reviews Board has now agreed that the application of 16 Russian athletes have met the exceptional eligibility criteria to compete henceforth as neutral athletes; under competition rule 22.1 A{6}. While the Russian Federation still remained suspended.
The athletes allow to compete are; Victor Butenko-discus, Timofey Chalyy-400m hurdles, Damil Danilov-hammer, Olga Eliseeva-road walk{Europian u-20 championship only}, Alexey Fodovov-triple jump, Irina Genenink -triple jump, Irina Gordoova-high jump,Yiacheslav Kolesniohenko-sprint, Alexsandr Lesnsi-short put, Kostanton Lyadusov-shot put, Iuliia Maltsova-discus, Alena Mamina-sprint, Alexsandr Menkov-long jump, Victoriia Prokoponko-triple jump,Ilya Shkurreney-decathlonand Valentin Smirnov-middle distance.
