A new horizon light of sprint success is gradually blossom over the Irish athletics, follow up to impressive performance of lot of young sprinters last year; another such promising display was epitomized yesterday as 19 years old Israel Olatunde shone like millions star in his first outing of the season.
At Irish national indoor league yesterday, Isreali busted out of the block to recorded 6.67s, second fastest Irish 60m. He ended up breaking U-23 Irish 60m record, putting behind finally his disappointment of not making 100m final at the European U-20 Championship last summer.
The double Irish record holder in 200m and 300m, Phil Healy was equally Impressive with her second fastest time over 400m in her first race as well. She won in 51.96s.
