Zoe Hobbs Sealed Double Win In McKinnon With New Zealand National Record

The twenty-four years old New Zealand sprint sensation, Zoe Hobbs was completely over the moon on Sunday (19) as she ended the year in a life best and national record.

At the McKinnon Shield meet, Zoe broke her own New Zealand 100m record of 11.32s she shared with Michelle Seymour. She surged into finish line in 11.27s (1.7) to defeat Georgia Hull (11.44s).

Before her record feat in 100m, Zoe had earlier won 60m in 7.17s (2.5).

“Training has been going well, so I was hoping to come out and get a good time before the end of the year,” said Zoe.

“I’m very happy with today and nice to do it in my last race of the year,” said Zoe. “It was perfect conditions, and I was hoping to maximise on that”, she concluded.
