At Last Laura Muir Nailed The Elusive Olympics Medal With A National Record

A four times European 1500m champion, Laura Muir has finally deliver at world stage

With a wonderful weather of Tokyo, the 1500m got underway with 10000m Tokyo Olympics champion Sifan Hassan lay the marker.

But about 300m to go, the defending Olympics champion Kenyan Faith Kipyekon ran to the front and maintain the lead to the finishing line to take the while Muir kicked pass Hassan to take silver in a new British record of 3:54.50. Hassan ran 3:55.86 to Kipyekon Olympics record of 3:53.11 to take the gold.
