Kenyan Faith Kipyekon Sturned Sifan Hassan With A National Record As Irish Mageean Ciara Hit Season Best

At the Monaco Diamond League, the 1500m world leader Dutch Sifan Sifan Hassan was completely taken unaware by in-form Kenyan Faith Kipyekon who beat her hands down.

Determined reigning champion, Faith completely took control of closing stage of the 1500m by winning in a world leading time and a new national record of 3:51.03 while Hassan finished second in 3:52.60.

The improved in-form Irish Mageean Ciara was impressive in running a season best of 4:02.48
