Shericka Jackson Subdued Maria To Lou, Femke Bol Missed European Record By A Whisker In Stockholm

World 400m bronze medalist, Jamaica Shericka Jackson who took the short sprint by storm lately has confirmed her new found form by winning the 200m at the Stockholm Diamond League today, Sunday (3).

Jackson subdued African champion, Maria-Jose To Lou to win the 200m in 22.10s to Ta Lou season best of 22.36s. Another national record came on the way of Nambian Maslingi Beatrice as she came third in a new national record 22.65s.

But after some minutes later, Ta Lou was disqualified for falling out from y block before the gun. So Beatrice finally given second place.

The Dutch record breaker, Femke Bol stepped into higher gear to destroyed the field but unfortunately missed the European record of Russian Yuliya pechonkina by 0.05s. She eventually improved her national record to 52.37s to beat American Little Shamier who finished second in 52.39s.
