Just two days ago after basking in the euphoria of breaking a 16 years old Kim Gevaert 51.45s Belgium 400m record in Montreuil athletics meet in France by running 50.75s; then just few minutes ago she has lowered the record again.
At the KBC meet in Belgium early today, Cynthia provided the highlight perfomance by smatching the national record again after winning the 400m in 50.72s.
After she first broke the record on Thursday (1), these was what she said: “I could tell I felt it coming, but I absolutely didn’t“Bolingo told reporters after his performance.”In training I would run faster than ever, but I hadn’t seen the moment when I would go so fast. I suddenly achieved my personal best, broke the Belgian record and reached the Olympic limit. It’s so good. I am also the first Belgian under 51 seconds. It’s just the perfect night. Finally beating Kim Gevaert’s record is not only good for me but for all Belgian athletics”, She concluded.
