Good Day For Mark English And Sarah Lavin At Madrid

The European Indoor 800m silver medalist, Irish Mark English looked very sharp at the Madrid grand prix this evening.

The 28-years-old Irish 800m indoor record holder, was in splendid form as he was beaten on the line by Dutch Tony Van Diepen. English ran his season best of 1:45.22 to place second while the winner, Diepen ran 1:45.17 to win.

In the 100m hurdle, Sarah Kate Lavin came second in a new personal best of 12.95s.

In 3000m steeplechase, mercurial Eilish Flanagan could only managed fifth with a time of 9:48.88.
