Irish Lizzie Lee And Hiko Tonosa Turn-up A Good Race At European 10,000m Cup

On Saturday (5) in the city of Birmingham for European 10,000m Cup, the Irish Olympian marathon Champion Lizzie Lee coughed out another personal best.

In the race which also serve as British Athletics 10,000m Championship, despite Eillish Mccolgan who won and Jessica Judd beating Olympics qualification mark Lee was refused to be pushed aside. She finished in personal best of 33:04.66 to place seventeen.

In the men, the Ethiopian-born Hiso Tonosa Haso who is both 5000m and 10000m Irish Champion impressed with a good finishing. He returned 28:13.10 to place twelve overall.

Michael Power came into the race with more determination. He finished twenty three overall in 30:11.77.
