Okagbare Lowered Meet Record As Edgar Rivera Breaks Mexico National Record In Slovakia

Just few days after running 10.90s, the African Champion Blessing Okagbare was in another awesome form on Wednesday (2) at P-T-S meeting in Slovakia. Okagbare blasted the whole field to break the meet 100m record with impressive 10.98s.

Edgar Rivera was over the moon as he broke Mexican high jump record after soared 2.31m to beat former World Champion Mikhail Akimenko who finished with 2.29m session best.

Panama Alonso Edward won sprint double. In 100m, Edward ran the his season best of 10.18s to beat American Michael Rogers who ran 10.23s to second place while Ghanian Sean Safo-Antwi was third in 10.27s. In 200m, Edward won in 20.22s beating Liberia Emmanuel Matadi who ran 20.56s to third place.
