Fred Kerley Beats Justin Gatlin As Richardson, Okagbare And Bednarek Impressed

The world leader in 100m this season, quarter miller Fred Kerley showed why he’s the season fastest man earlier today at the Ostrava Golden Spike.

Fred surprised himself by beating world champion Justin Gatlin in 100m. He won in 9.96s to Gatlin 10.08s while Andre De Grasse was third in 10.18s.

In the 200m, Fred could not upstage in-form Kenneth Bednarek who came top in 19.93s to Fred 20.27s. But in the female 200m, the African Champion Nigerian Blessing Okagbare shake the American sensation, Sha’Carri Richardson a bit by pushing her all to the tape in 22.59s to Sha’Carri 22.35s.
