Double Olympics Champion Caster Semenya Tried 3000m In A Meet Wenda Nel And Kyle Blignaut Impressed At Potchefstroom Meet

Double Olympics 800m Champion, Caster Semenya who tried her legs on 2000m two weeks ago, on Thursday (6) at Potchefstroom South Africa Meet tried 3000m this time around. She won in 9:04.20.

In the 400m hurdle for women, South Africa Champion Wenda Nel was outright impressive as she won her race in 55.16s while the 400m was won by Mirenda Coetzee in 52.74s.

World Athletics long jump medalist, Rushwal Samaai was good with 8.07m jump to win long jump but Kyle Blignaut was even more impressive with a big 21.03m throw in shot put. In the hammer Alan Cumming threw 73.00m.

In the 100m men, Chederic Van Wyk did not disappoint, he won in 10.22s (0.3)
