Nigeria Usoro Crown NCAA Champion As African Games Medalist Ghanaian Deborah Acquah Breaks National Record

The triple jump women final at NCAA Division I ended in tantalizing triple jump fight to the finish. Initial it looks like Ghanaian Deborah Acquah will carry the day. But Nigeria record holder, Ruth Usoro will not give up. With the last jump Usoro snatched the win by jumping 14.27 to set a meet record.

The 2019 Africa Games long jump silver medalist, Ghanaian Deborah Acquah made history also on Saturday night (13) at Fayetteville in NCAA Division I Indoor Championship. The Ghanaian indoor long jump and triple jump record holder broke her record to jump a life distance best of 14.27m, and place second. It was a big consolation for her after not satisfactory performance in long jump where she placed 11th position with 6.35.
