World Medalist Gudaf Tsegay World Leading 800m Time Highlight de L’Eure Meet As Cisse, Holloway Impressed

Just sparkling from breaking world 1500 indoor record in Lievin few days ago, the world bronze medalist, Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay made another foray on Sunday (14) at de L’Eure French meeting, but this time in 800m.

Propelled by her new found confident only to be denied of the Jolanda Ceplak world record by 1.70s as she stopped the clock at 1:57.52s but got national record consolation in the process.

Few days ago, Tsegay broke the women’s 1,500 metres indoor world record at a meeting in Liévin, France. The former world record with 3:55.17 set by Genzebe Dibaba in 2014 was lowered by Tsegay to 3:53.09s.

Arthur Cisse was beaten again in the 60m by American Michael Rodger who won 6.61s to Cisse 6.68s. Grant Holloway continue impressive form of the season as he won 60h in 7.41s.
