The 2018 Gold Coast Triple Jump bronze medalist, Thea LaFond has thrown out Dominic Republic triple jump record of 14.22m by Ana Jose Tima. The 26 years old ebony, was in terrific form at the Liberty Invitation in Lynchburg, US on Saturday (23). She jumped a new distance of 14.52m a world lead.
During the 2018 Commonwealth Games, LaFond created history by becoming the first Dominican athlete to win a medal for Dominica at the Commonwealth Games after securing a bronze medal in the women’s triple jump event.
