On Saturday (17) at the Hytteplanmila Meet, a double European bronze medalist, Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal broke 31 years Ingrid Kristiansen’s Norwegian 10km road record with a stunning performance of 30 minutes and 32 seconds. Grøvdal’s winning time of 30:32 is actually the second-best time ever by a European woman in a 10km road race. Only British Paula Radcliffe has run faster, with 30.21 back in 2003.
Zerei Kbrom Mezngi won the men’s 10km race in 28:20, Gilje Nordås was eight seconds behind at 28:28, while Bjørnar Lillefosse took third place in 28:45. Filip Ingebrigsten ended up in 6th place with 29:03
