Odei Jainage Smatched Spanish Javelin Record Again And Bolingo Also Break 21 Years Belgium Record

The Spanish Javelin Record Holder, Odei Jainage Larrea did not want to be left out in a week of athletics record breaking; which was first put to gear by Sifan Hassan. Then followed by Mo Farah and Kenyan runner Peres Jepchirchir.

But earlier today also, Johannes Vetter broke Javelin Record, this spurred Odei to go the same route. Earlier on, Odei broke his own Spanish Javelin Record by throwing 84.10m in a relatively light Meet, Copa La Liga, in Spain. His performance was the major highlight of the Meet.

In Belgium, Cynthia Bolingo delighted the home supporters at the KBC Night of Athletics, winning the 300m in a Belgian record of 36.54 at the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting in Heusden-Zolder on Sunday (6).

The European indoor 400m silver medallist won by almost one second from Camille Laus to break a national record that had stood for 21 years. Less than an hour earlier, Bolingo had finished third in the 100m in 11.75.
