World Champion, Norway’s Karsten Warholm was in devastating form as he came very close to break the 400m hurdles World record at the Stockholm Bauhaus Galan – Wanda Diamond League meet on Sunday (23). But again he got European record instead.
Warholm surprised once again by clocking 46.89, the 2nd fastest 400m hurdles time in history. He missed Kevin Young’s World record only 0.09.
Warholm continued to impress by taking taken just an hour rest after his historic 400mh to win the 400m flat in a new season’s best time of 45.05 seconds.
“It felt really good, especially the hurdles. I’m really really proud of doing what I did.” said Warholm.
He was distance followed by Happio Wilfried 49.14s.
