Barbora Spotakova the two-time Olympic javelin champion and many pro athletes will join hundreds of kids to participate in numerous track and field events across the country.
“Our motivation was for the athletes to be able to race as soon as possible. They’re here for it, and we’re here to let them. However, we wanted athletes of all categories, and not just elite representatives, to race. So we thought, why not do it in bulk. So I suggested that we race together in a hundred stadiums. That was the original idea. The interest was huge and at the beginning of this week, 173 places have already been registered where the race will take place on June 1,” the charman of Czech Athletics Association Libor Varhanik said.
