Duplantis The Pole Vault Record Holder To Auction For Covid-19

One of the most sensational athlete in this year indoor season and the World Pole Vault Indoor record holder, Swedish star Armand Duplantis will be auctioning his bib he wore when he broke the World Pole Vault Indoor record in Turin in February to raise money to fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Duplantis cleared 6.17 metres at the World Athletics Indoor Tour event on February 8 to better the mark set by Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie.

The 20-year-old American-born Swede broke his own record in Glasgow the following week after managing 6.18m.

Proceeds from the auctioned bib will go towards helping battle the COVID-19 virus, which has infected more than 1.3 million people and killed at least 74,000 worldwide.
