A Footballer sent To 3 Months Detention For Flouting Covid-19 Imposed Curfew

Followed arrest of a Serbian national and Real Madrid player Luka Jovic last month for flouting the covid-19 imposed curfew when he attended his girlfriend birthday party, another Serbian national player has committed the same offence. Aleksandar Prijovic , a former Parma player but now play for Saudi Arabia Al-Ittihad club has been handed down with 3 months of home detention for breaking the curfew imposed to curb the spread of covid-19.

Police arrested Prijovic and 19 others for gathering at a hotel lobby bar in Belgrade on Friday and violating the country’s 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. lockdown orders.

The 29 years old former U-20 Switzerland player, has played 13 times for Serbian national football team scoring twice.
