Manchester United have been told that they have to cough out a whopping £15million to make Ighalo’s loan permanent. Odion Ighalo has now scored four goals in eight matches plus his goal of a class against Austria side LASK in Europa league on Thursday, this his impressive has not gone unnoticed in China. Shanghai Shenhua which only paid £5.27m for the 30-year-old Nigeria international when he left CC Yatai in February last year but are now set to demand almost three times that fee in order for United to sign him, according to The Mirror.
Ighalo has proven himself to be a popular figure in the United dressing room and Solskjaer and co. are thought to be keen to make the deal permanent regardless of the inflated fee.
“Odion has done really well since he came in and he is enjoying himself,” said Solskjaer. “He will improve and get better, but he has qualities we saw in him and we needed and we will still need those qualities next season, so let’s see what we will”,he added.
