Yesterday at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, the fast improving American Demek Kemp was on fire to destroyed a strong field including Asafa Powell of Jamaica by finishes in sensational 6:50s. Keitavious Walter was second in 6.61s while Asafa Powell was fifth in 6.71s
The Nigerian Rilwan Alowonile came fifth in 400m with a time of 48.38s won by another Nigeria but now running for US Obi Igbokwe in 46.50s and a Nigerian Boston University graduate David Oluwadara was fourth in Triple jump with 15.55m.
In the 60 m hurdle, American Nia Ali came top with 7.94s beating Christina Clemons in 7.98s
