Antonio Conte has won a long legal battle over his former employer- Chelsea Football Club ; after an employment tribunal ruled in his favour. The judge Andrew Glennie found that he was Unfairly sacked by the Blues in July 2017.
‘The complaint of unfair dismissal is well funded’, he said. “The respondent (Chelsea) shall pay to the claimant (Conte) a basic award of €1,524 and a compesatory award of €83,682 being a total €85,206.
Recent account showed his sacking was the most expensive in English Football history. Blues paid out €26.6 million for Conte, his staff and lengthy legal proceedings.
