Why Isaac Makwala Was Stopped By IAAF From Running In World Athletics Championship 400m Final

The Botswana strong man and twice 400m African champion Isaac Makwala, who is currently 200m fastest in the World and the only man who had historic realistic chance of stopping Van Wayde was unfairly stopped from featuring in yesterday 400m final and in 200m heat on Sunday. His nightmare started on Sunday in the warm-up medical centre when he was examined by a qualified doctor and recorded in the electronic medical record system. He diagnosed for infectious disease which need a maximum of 48 hours quarantine ; a procedure which was recommeded by Public Health England. So, the IAAF medical delegates took the action by stopping him in other to protect the other athletes but explained the whole procedure in a meeting with Makwala and his country  medical teams and officials to let them know the  the unfortunate situation.  Unfairly and unfortunately for in-form Makwala whose 48 hours quarantine expired when all his events have been concluded. What a shame for in-form man who has a chance of picking medals in both 200m and 400m.
