Nigeria Beach Soccer Team gave a good account of themself in early hours of today against Iran in the fight to win a quarter final spot. The team tutor by coach Audu Adam paraded Paul{GK}, Okennin, Godspower, Abu and Emeka. The substitutes are Ayalogu, Emmanuel, Taiwo, Tales, Olawale{C}, Ibenegbu and Ogodo.
After a galant display of artistry foot ball skills, the Nigeria lost to Iran on penalty shoot out after playing 4-4 in regulation time. Despite that it was the Iranian that drew the first blood; the Nigeria managed to equalise and was leading 4-3 before the Iranian hero Ahmadzedeh equalize to take the game into extra time. Our scorer are Tale{pen}, Emmanuel, Godspower and Ibenegbu. But after fine display from Nigeria Team despite ill preparation, it was unlucky Ogodo missed penalty which rattle the cross bar that send galant Nigeria Out.
The Senegal Team were also out after lost in penalty shoot-out to Swizerland after 6-6 regulation time.
