How A Nigerian Fasasi Was Honoured By The World Athletics

Nigeria quatermiler king; Adekunle Rilwan Fasasi has been honoured despite his minor pushing incident with Steven Gayle which led to his disqualification in the NCAA 400m final which happenned to be his last indoor race for the year. Although the pushing incident  affected his rhythm to later end the race in 46.18s to place 5th over-all before the disqualification. This is a man who shot to athletics prominence last year. Has really improved this year from 46.60s last year to World class 45.57s. He even broke 300m national indoor record in January by reducing it to 33.09s.

With all his effort, he has been honoured with a 3rd rank in 400m indoor for this year by the World Athletics Federation{IAAF}. The other Nigerian on the ranking lists are Oluwatobiloba Amusan{19} in the 60h and Stephanie Kalu{39} in 60m.
