Coleman Wins Double With A Record And A Mixed Drama For Nigeria At NCAA

It was a mixed drama for Nigeria at NCAA championship in Texas, Us. It first started on Friday with Kunle Fasasi {Nigeria current best sprinter} who ran very well  to qualify for Saturday final by placing second to Fred Kerley in heat one. Fasasi was in the best shape of his life by missing a  20 years old 400m indoor national record held by late Sunday Bada by 0.06s there-by clocking 45.57s new personal best. But in the final, the inform Kunle was disqualified in the the race won by Fred Kerley in 44.85sWL. Another Nigerian, Obi Igbokwe did not qualify for the final after placing third in heat 4 in a time of 46.73s.

In the female 60h, Tobi Amusan was impressive in the preliminary by qualify for final after she came third in heat 3 with a time of 8.00s. But failtered in the final, placing 6th place with a time of 8.03s. The race was won by Sasha Wallace clocking 7.90s.

In the 200m, Deajah Steven broke the NCAA record with a time of 22.28s only to be disqualified later. It was Ariana Washington that later became the 2017 NCAA champion with a time of 22.42s.

Christian Coleman completely stole the show in two days championship. He first broke NCAA 60m record with joint WL time of 6.45s. But in the 200m, he missed Wallance Spearmon record by 0.01s with a sensational 20.11sWL.
