In the 2017 ITTF World Tour Qatar Open which was concluded today conspicuously missed the only black Pink Ponk King Aruna in the main draw. It is customary not to see any black man from the main draw up to the final of any Table Tennis tour or championship. The advent of this powerful forehand stroker; who boldly cherished to sting in an open play rather with service has change all that. This time around, Aruna Quadri decided to go the professional way by succumbed to his Physiotherapist’s advise to rest his over used back muscles. So he only took part in the double. But lost his double match with Omar Assad of Egypt to eventual finalist Karlsson Kristian and Karlsson Mattias of Sweden.
In the qualification Oluyomi Salako of Nigeria lost all his three matches to Filus Ruwen of Germany, Ionescu Ovidiu of Romania and Uda Yukida of Japan with 4-0 score line. An Egypian El-Beiau Mohammed lost to Cho Seungmin of Korean 4-0 score. Assad Omar of Egypt overwhelmed Tsubo Gustavo of Brazil 4-0 , only to bow out in the pre-round to Jiang Tianui Of Hong kong by 4-1. The single was won by Ma Long of China and female single by Chen Merg of China.
